Learning to treasure all the moments.

Lately, life has felt like it’s moving at full speed. The weeks blur into one another, routines repeat themselves, and before I know it, another month has passed. After reflecting on that feeling in last week’s blog, this week brought me a quieter but deeply personal reminder: sometimes change happens so gradually that you only notice it in a single moment.
I’ve been consistently showing up for myself in my fitness and weight-loss journey. Not perfectly, not dramatically; just consistently. Choosing discipline on the days I felt motivated and on the days I didn’t. And last week, for the first time, I looked in the mirror and noticed a physical change in my body. It wasn’t sudden or extreme, but it felt significant because it represented months of effort, patience, and quiet perseverance.
That moment stayed with me.
It reminded me that growth often happens long before we can see it. We spend so much time waiting for big breakthroughs that we overlook the importance of small, faithful steps. Yet those little moments eventually become visible evidence that something has been changing all along.
As I reflected on this, I immediately thought about the woman with the issue of blood in The Gospel of Mark. For years she suffered, hoping for healing, carrying disappointment after disappointment. But despite everything, she believed that even touching the hem of Jesus’ garment would make her whole. One touch. One moment. One act of faith.
That’s what moves me so deeply about that story. The Bible constantly reminds us that God can work through moments we might consider small. A touch. A prayer. A decision to keep going. A tiny shift in perspective. Sometimes we think transformation has to arrive loudly, but often it begins quietly, in faithfulness, in endurance, in simply refusing to give up.
I think that’s why learning to treasure all the moments matters so much. Not every day will feel extraordinary, but every day carries the possibility of change. Every step forward counts, even when progress feels slow. Every prayer matters, even when the answer hasn’t arrived yet.
Maybe that’s the lesson I’m holding onto right now: don’t rush past the ordinary moments waiting for a dramatic one. Some of the most meaningful transformations in our lives are already unfolding in the small things we almost overlook.
And sometimes, all it takes is one moment to finally see it.
All my love,
