Digging Deeper into God's Word
There are days when writing comes easily, and then there are days like today when motivation is nowhere to be found. Yet here I am, choosing consistency over feelings and discipline over convenience. I've always understood the importance of showing up for people and being present, but I've realised that the same commitment is required in my walk with God. Digging into Scripture and spending quiet time with the Lord is not always what we want to do, but it is always worthwhile.
The truth is that breaking unhealthy cycles is hard work. It often means choosing the narrow road, making the difficult decision, and sometimes failing along the way. More often than I'd like to admit, I find myself starting over. Yet every time I return to God's Word, I am reminded that growth is not measured by perfection but by persistence. Scripture has a way of revealing the areas where I need healing while also reminding me of the grace available when I fall short.
Quiet time with the Lord creates space for Him to reshape our thinking and strengthen our hearts. It is in those moments of stillness that we begin to recognise the lies we have believed, the habits that have held us captive, and the freedom that God desires for us. Change rarely happens overnight, but every moment spent in His presence is a step forward.
I often wonder what winning looks like when it comes to breaking an unhealthy cycle. Perhaps it is not the absence of struggle but the moment that struggle no longer controls you. Maybe victory is when the thing that once had power over your thoughts, choices, and emotions no longer dictates your response. Whatever winning looks like, I believe it begins with returning to God daily, opening His Word, and trusting Him to complete the work He started in us.
That's all I have for this week. Take time this week to spend time with God and to hear from him and be reminded of how much you are loved in the cycle.
Lots of love

Persistency is key. No matter how far you deviate from God, returning to Him is always the best solution to every mess up.
Trusting God brings a disturbance to the vicious cycle you may be stuck in. The more you disturb that cycle, the more inconsistent it becomes. The cycle eventually breaks or reshapes to what aligns with God's will for your life.
